On some dives I had trouble equalising my ears on my descent, but having the support of a dive instructor through that process who helped me on the way down and made sure I was Ok throughout the dive was really nice. They guided me and checked on me during the dive, which made me feel safe. It was a very hands-on experience that I felt. Fleetfoot is awesome, even if you don't have a lot of diving experience. They make sure you're okay every step of the way, which makes it easier to enjoy diving even if you're still learning.

I got my open water diver badge! We practiced skills in the lagoon which really helped when we went into the open water. Like taking out the regulator, blowing bubbles, and putting it back on. I also practiced equalising—pinching my nose and blowing to clear my ears. But when I went into the deep water and started going down, my ears started to hurt because I couldn't equalise properly. The instructors were really patient. They helped me go back a little higher up, calmed me down, let me catch my breath, and showed me how to equalise. Then they slowly took me back down. They didn't rush me at all. They gave me all the time I needed to feel comfortable and helped me through it step by step.

The whole experience was very well crafted. For a newbie like me, especially one with a healthy fear of water, the training and the instructors were very good and supportive. Post my very unhappy first dive, Chengs and Sarita did a good job of building up my confidence and I completed the certification successfully. We were lucky to see the Mantas and a guitar shark apart from a number of other underwater creatures. The location was great and the experience was overall really superb. I look forward to more diving soon.

Being almost 50 and diving with energetic kids aged 10 to 15 was initially overwhelming. I managed the theory, but getting into the water was challenging. I struggled at first, but I improved with each dive. Fleetfoot's instructors were kind and patient - they understood my slower pace. This experience taught me that diving is more about mindset than physical ability. Younger divers tend to embrace it with less hesitation. Despite my initial doubts, the confidence and support from the Fleetfoot team helped me overcome my fears and overthinking. Adjusting to deep water wasn’t easy, but the mesmerizing underwater sights were life-changing.

Will save you the trouble of having to skim through multiple reviews, because my trip with Fleetfoot has been one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Nitish and Sarita are two of the most genuine and passionate people I've had the pleasure of meeting, and the small ad-hoc group of us new-ish divers was an absolute blast. Whatever few reservations I had (solo female traveller, logistics, etc etc) flew right out the window once the trip started. I rarely write reviews/recommendations, but this one truly deserves it :) P.S: the Fleetfoot t-shirt designs are just adorable!

As a solo traveler, confidence isn’t always a given—there’s always some underlying anxiety about what might unfold. When I decided to dive in the Maldives, safety was my top priority. After thorough research, Fleetfoot stood out. From the moment I signed up, I felt camaraderie. They responded promptly, treating every question with respect and honesty. Attention to detail is their unique selling point. Safety is non-negotiable, with a 5-star dive center, top-notch gear, and thorough briefings. I also love that Fleetfoot promotes social responsibility—they provide water bottles to reduce plastic waste and organize beach cleanups that are fun, bringing everyone together to compete in collecting trash. My Fleetfoot t-shirt says 'Dive Deep, Climb High,' and I certainly have.
