BECOME A BLACK BELT IN SCUBA

Every diver aged 12 and up should aspire to become a Master Scuba Diver. It’s the highest rung on the recreational diving ladder! The Master Scuba Diver rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through both significant experience and scuba training. Fewer than two percent of divers ever achieve this rating.

PREREQUISITES

  • Age: 12-15 years old.
  • Certifications:
    • PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certified
    • Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Certified
    • PADI Junior Rescue Diver Certified
  • Specialty Courses: Complete five PADI Specialty Diver certifications, which can include areas like Deep Diver, Night Diver, Wreck Diver, Enriched Air, Peak Performance Buoyancy and more.
  • Dive Experience: Minimum of 50 logged dives to demonstrate varied experience.
  • Medical Clearance: Current medical clearance is required.

Note: This is a rating, not a certification. The PADI Junior Master Scuba Diver rating is available for divers aged 12 to 15. After turning 15, they can transition to the regular Master Scuba Diver certification.
